  • Steven S. Wells, DPM, PhD

    Dr. Steven Wells is a graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his internship at Saint Vincent Medical Center and his surgical residency at Interfaith Medical Center. He completed his diabetic foot fellowship at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn. Dr. Wells is also a former clinical assistant professor in the department of orthopedics at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Dr. wells is an expert in The Diabetic foot/ wound care and Lower extremity medicine through the academy of physicians wound healing and the board of lower extremity surgeons.

    Dr. Wells is the Clinical Director of the new Rudolph Williams Diabetes, Limb Salvage and Prosthetic Center in Belize City.

    Currently he is an attending Surgeon at Brookdale University Medical Center and Richmond University Medical Center in the departments of Orthopedics and Surgery. Dr. Wells is in private practice at the Favor Foot Ankle leg and Wound Center in New Jersey. He is also the CEO and founder of the Diabetes Foot Center Group which is responsible for educating and training Patients, physicians, nurses and health care providers on how to develop multidisciplinary foot centers for the purpose of Decreasing Lower extremity amputations.

    Dr. Wells is also an international lecturer and Surgeon of the Diabetic Foot and Lower Extremity Medicine. Dr. Wells is active in doing annual dynamic diabetes education seminars and screenings in several islands of the Caribbean which include Jamaica, Belize, Carriacou, Petite Martinique and Grenada. He is a clinical partner with the Belize diabetes association of New York.
